She was at college with Jenifer Newson who I am collaborating with. Alisons new work is inspired by the thousands of scientific and medical items in the Wellcome Trusts Collection. Her ceramic artworks explore the relationship between medicine and belief. Alison trained at the Royal College and also produces printed furniture as well as a variety of ceramic work. Her work is influenced by 1950s design and the sea Alison lives on the South Coast. The photographs dont do them justice as I cant tell you how beautiful they are in real life and how lucky I feel to see the different stages and ways of thinking involved in creating them.
